We use SSL certificates to ensure that your WEBKiosk subdomain is secure. This means your readers will see that your subdomain is protected and trustworthy.

How to Enable SSL for Your WEBKiosk

You can select this option when you enter or edit a domain for your WEBKiosk.

Once activated, your readers will see that your subdomain is secure and uses HTTPS.

More information about domain set up can be found in our Help Center article: Domain setup.

Important Information for CAA Configuration

If you are using CAA (Certification Authority Authorization) in your domain settings, please make sure that you allow “Let’s Encrypt” (https://letsencrypt.org/) to issue certificates for your domain name.

What Happens If CAA Is Not Configured Correctly?

If “Let’s Encrypt” is not permitted in your CAA settings:

  • We cannot encrypt your domain or create a valid SSL certificate.

  • Your WEBKiosk will still function, but it will not be shown as secure in the browser.

Why SSL Matters

  • Security: Protects data exchanged between your readers and your WEBKiosk.

  • Trust: Shows visitors that your content is authentic and safe.

  • SEO Benefits: Search engines prefer secure websites using HTTPS.
