Credit card: renewed 3-D Secure validation

Ensure security of transactions with re-authentication of the credit card

Yumpu may occasionally require a revalidation of the credit card stored in your user account to ensure that all transactions remain safe and secure.

If such a revalidation is required to successfully complete the transaction a notification about the failed transaction, including the error code shown below will be sent to the account holder:

“Your card must be authenticated with 3-D Secure before continuing.”


How to Re-Authenticate Your Credit Card

To complete the authentication process and ensure your payment can be processed securely, please follow the steps below.


1. Access Your Account Settings

  • Log in to your Yumpu user account.

  • Hover over your profile name in the upper right corner.

  • Select “My Account” from the dropdown menu.

  • Open the “Current Subscription” tab from the left-hand navigation.


2. Open Subscription Settings

  • In the lower right area of the Current Subscription section, click “Customize Subscription.”


3. Update Payment Method

  • Click the “CHANGE” button in the upper right corner.

  • This will open the form for updating your payment details.


4. Re-Enter Card Details and Verify

  • Enter your first name, last name, credit card number, expiration date, and CVC again.

  • Click “Save” to confirm the information.

  • A pop-up will be displayed afterwards asking you to submit your verification via your chosen verification method.

  • Please check the information shown in the pop-up in order to successfully authenticate your credit card and ensure safe transactions.

(Please note: the authentication pop-up may vary depending on your bank.)


Once the 3-D Secure authentication is completed, your credit card will be successfully revalidated, ensuring secure and uninterrupted transactions on your Yumpu account.
