🔄 Update an Existing Magazine on YUMPU
📂 Keep Your Settings — Just Swap the File!
You can update an already existing magazine by uploading a new PDF file — without changing its settings, URL, or embedded version.
⚠️ This feature requires a Premium subscription.
💡 Step 1: Export Your Hotspots (Before uploading the new PDF)
If your magazine contains hotspots, you’ll need to export them first —
These won’t be transferred automatically unless the page count and structure remain exactly the same.
1️⃣ Go to "My Publications"
2️⃣ Click the Pencil Icon ✏️ to edit the magazine.
3️⃣ In the left sidebar, scroll down and click “Hotspot Editor”.
4️⃣ In the Hotspot Editor, click the “CSV” button.
5️⃣ Go to the “Export” tab, choose your preferred format (e.g., CSV), and download the file.
📁 You’ll get a .csv
file — this will be used later to restore your hotspots.
✏️ You can even edit the CSV to change hotspot details before re-importing.
📤 Step 2: Upload the New PDF Version
Ready to update the content?
1️⃣ Go back to "My Publications"
2️⃣ Click the Pencil Icon ✏️ again for the magazine you want to update.
3️⃣ Click “Re-Upload” under the magazine preview.
📄 Choose your new PDF file and upload it.
⏳ Wait until the file is fully processed.
📌 Step 3: Re-Import Your Hotspots
Once the new version is uploaded:
1️⃣ Open the Hotspot Editor again (via “Edit pages”).
2️⃣ Click on “CSV”, then select “Import”.
3️⃣ Upload the previously saved .csv
file.
✅ Done! Your hotspots are restored — and your magazine is fully updated.
