Creating access tags

How to use access tags to control the login function

Written by Support Team

For the creation of access tag(s) for the use of the login function you have the following possibilities:

Please note that the mentioned possibilities for the administration of member(s) require an active Prokiosk membership.

Method 1: Create Access Tags Manually

Open "My Members" in your account.

Open the “Members” section of your Yumpu account and navigate to “Access Tags.”

Click on the “Add Access Tag” button to create a new access tag.

Enter Access Tag Details

In the following pop up window please enter the details which should be used to create the new reader entry:

  • Name: Enter a name for the access tag

  • Description: Enter a short description explaining the purpose of the tag

Assign Access Rights

Finally, define for which of your web kiosks and/or app kiosks this access tag should be valid. A successful unlocking of magazines by the login function can only be done in the web kiosks and app kiosks that are linked to the access tag.

Note: You can activate the "Deactivate IAP" option when creating Access Tag(s) so that readers assigned to a corresponding Access Tag can disable in-app sales deposited in your Appkiosk by successfully logging in.

Repeat the above steps for each additional Access Tag(s) you would like to create for your account.

Method 2: Create Access Tags via the Yumpu REST API

You can also create access tags automatically using the Yumpu REST API.

Please refer to the step-by-step guide for creating access tags via the Yumpu REST API for detailed instructions.
