Activate a Cookie Banner in Your WEBKiosk
If you want to add a cookie banner to your WEBKiosk, navigate to the WEBKiosk settings in your Yumpu user account (“Kiosk” → “Webkiosk” – find the entry of the corresponding WEBKiosk – select the Cookie Banner option from the list in the “Tasks” menu).
Open the Configuration
After clicking on the corresponding entry, the following window will be displayed:
This window offers you several options for customizing the cookie banner of your WEBKiosk.
“Show Cookie Banner”: This setting determines whether the banner will be displayed in the WEBKiosk.
“Text”: Here you can enter the text that will be shown in the banner.
With this option, you can also include the link to your privacy policy directly in the text.
In this case, insert the following parameter into the text:
<a href="Link to privacy policy or URL" title="Your chosen title" target="">Text</a>
Alternatively, the URL leading to your privacy policy can also be added as a separate element at the end of the text.
Additional Settings
You will find these settings at the bottom of the pop-up window:
“Cookie policy URL”: Enter the full URL of the webpage where your privacy policy can be found (including
http://orhttps://).“Policy URL text”: This entry defines the text assigned to the element.
“Button text”: This entry defines the text on the button that users must click to confirm.
Final Steps
To complete the setup of the cookie banner, click “Save” or “Save & Close” after entering your information.
The cookie banner will then appear at the bottom of the browser when your WEBKiosk is accessed.
