Optimize Your PDF for Best Display on YUMPU

Make sure your digital publication looks just as polished online as it does in print.

To achieve the highest quality flipbook experience, prepare your PDF file using the following specifications:

1. No Security Restrictions
Your PDF should not be password protected or encrypted.

2. One File – One Publication
Upload a single PDF file that contains all pages of your publication.
Note: YUMPU automatically detects a single cover page followed by double-page spreads.

3. Fonts Must Be Embedded
Ensure all fonts used in your document are embedded in the PDF file to prevent rendering issues.

4. Keep Text Selectable (Vector Format)
Avoid outlines or bitmap text. You should be able to highlight and copy the text — this ensures searchability and clarity.

5. No Hidden Layers
The PDF should be clean — no outdated or hidden text layers placed under other content.

6. Image Quality: 180 DPI Minimum
Ensure your PDF is optimized for screen viewing with a resolution of at least 180 DPI.

7. Uniform Page Size
All pages must have the same dimensions throughout the PDF.

8. No Crop Marks or Cutting Lines
Your final PDF should be trimmed and clean — no visible production marks.

Tip: Following these specifications helps avoid display issues and ensures your readers get the best experience possible.
