There are two methods to add a table of contents to your magazine on Yumpu.

Option 1: Table of Contents in PDF

You have the option to create a table of contents (TOC) directly within your PDF document. When you do this, your magazine's table of contents will be automatically generated by our system. Readers can access it by clicking on the button at the bottom left corner.

Note: To enable this feature, the table of contents must be created within the PDF document itself.

Option 2: Create Your Table of Contents on Yumpu

With the hotspot editor, you can insert links into your magazine that link to specific pages within your publication. Using these links, you can create a custom table of contents or other navigational elements for your document. Here's how to add links:

Instructions

  • Navigate to "My publications."

  • Click on the three-dot menu to edit your magazine.

  • Select "Edit" from the drop-down menu.

  • Access the "Hotspot Editor" from the left sidebar.

  • Click on the "Enrich your publication" banner.

  • You are now in the "Hotspot Editor." Choose the page to which you want to add links on the right side.

  • Select the "Navigation" symbol on the left side and drag open the hotspot element onto the page.

  • Configure the element on the right side, specifying what the link should do under "Action."

  • You can also define the text that should appear as a tooltip when the reader hovers over the link.

You can then configure the element on the right side. Choose what the link should do under "Action". With "Tooltip" you can define what text should be shown when the reader hovers over the link with his/her mouse.
